FG to put alternative energy at heart of Govt decision making
Fine Gael in government will pursue an aggressive alternative energy policy based on a coordinated plan involving the departments of Environment, Transport, Agriculture and Natural Resources according to the Party’s Environment Spokesperson, Fergus O’Dowd TD and Natural Resources Spokesperson, Bernard Durkan TD. The Front Bench Spokespeople spelled out their vision for energy provision in Ireland, as seen in Fine Gael’s policy document ‘Energy for the Future’, that will see proposals implemented at a cost of €488 million up 2010 at the Party’s Parliamentary Party Meeting in Sligo today (Wednesday) during an energy session addressed by ESB CEO Pádraig McManus and Bioverda CEO John Mullins.
