Nuclear power is our only hope
(The Patriot-News: Mon, 29 Jan) I continue to read about global warming and its corresponding destruction of our planet. Rarely do I see nuclear energy mentioned. Nuclear energy is the only viable solution to the problem of producing enough energy to supply our needs without adding to the buildup of greenhouse gases.

Join renewable-energy corporation

The company plans to start a program, called REnU, that will install and operate solar panels on your house for free as long as your state has passed some sort of net-metering policy.

Renewable energy could deliver 50% of the world's energy needs by 2050, report claims
(Energy Business Review: Sat, 27 Jan) A new report by the European Renewable Energy Council and Greenpeace International has outlined a global energy strategy to cut global CO2 emissions by almost 50% over the next 43 years, with the end result to see renewable energies delivering 70% of global electricity supply and 65% of global heat supply by 2050.

UPI Poll: Safety of nuclear power
(The Washington Times: Fri, 26 Jan) A solid majority of U.S. respondents to a UPI-Zogby International poll said they believe nuclear power is safe. Some 27.5 percent of participants in the poll strongly agreed with the statement that "nuclear power is safe." Another 35.2 percent said they somewhat agree with the statement.
